Okay, so some of the added dialogue was pretty good, such as Peter talking to Mr. Aziz in the begging, *“why don’t you send Celine?”
“Celine was deported yesterday, man!” 😭 *oh no
And then Peter and MJ’s extended backyard talk,
*“I’m seeing somebody.”
“Oh. Therapy.”
“No. Like a man.”
💀 *bro what
But yeah, the alternate elevator scene, while being funny, was too long, and the scene with MJ’s and her friends conversation was also too long, and both scenes were unnecessary and really ruined the pacing. And while J. Jonah Jameson’s scene of him wearing the spidey suit is hilarious, don’t think it belongs in the theatrical cut and most definitely works best as bonus content.
Overall, Spider-Man 2.1 lowers this film by half a star. They really edited this film into perfection😮💨
