Avengers: Infinity War
you should have gone for the head snap
actually crazy i was able to live through the infinity war era with all the theories, leaks & trailer breakdowns. the trailer for this btw? one of the best trailers ever. the hype behind this movie & endgame? unparalleled. truly the most epic & peak time for marvel & i, unfortunately, dont think we’ll ever witness such a time like this again.
i remember the theater experience for this one like it just happened yesterday. everyone cheering when tony first suits up, cap’s entrance (which btw, his infinity war look is clean), spiderman getting his iron spider suit, going back to wakanda, seeing bucky & finally probably the most cheered moment in mcu history (aside from andrew & tobey in no way home), thor’s entrance to wakanda. & then we have the ending that left everybody & their mom silent lmao, i mean you could hear a pin drop when the movie finished bc wdym our heroes lost & now we have to wait an entire year for the next one??
but i think that’s what i love about this movie a lot, the fact that it wasn’t scared to let our heroes lose or to show us some of our favorite characters go. almost each important character that started to dust away people would all gasp in unison (big gasp for when thanos stabs tony, really thought they got my boy!!). no other future mcu project could ever get this much hype & aura.
thanos was menacing, i mean in the first ten minutes he pieces up our heroes like its nothing, & it just sets the bar for how high the stakes are, how powerful he is & how nothing is gonna stand in his way. his cgi is unbelievable btw, some of the closeups of his face or his hands just look so so good its insane. he really steals the show whenever he’s on screen. his fight on titan was so cool, they really almost had him but he was like “nope, not today”
side note of my fav moments: - iron spider suit up - thanos vs doctor strange - thanos vs iron man - wakanda fight - cap & black panther running faster as a mf - cap’s entrance - thanos’ snap/all our heroes turning to dust - thor’s entrance in wakanda - thor taking the full blast of a dying star
