Django Unchained
Another Tarantino masterpiece. This movie defines the revenge drama, centered around characters that are so bad ass, you can't help but get behind them with all your infatuation. Christoph Waltz is yet again mesmerizing, with Inglorious Bastards and Django under the belt of this actor director duo, if they only had a few more films together they could be debated as the all time greatest, thats how fricken amazing Waltz is in his two roles. Leo was fantastic as well and Samual L Jackson was the typical exciting and powerful force on screen that he usually is. Jamie Foxx did his thing too, I just don't think his character visibly went through enough variety of emotion or other substance to be seen as a great performance. The film has wildly dramatic but awesome effects, violent yet satisfying series of events, and shock value galore. I have to rewatch Inglorious Basterds before I'm sure this is my favorite Tarantino I've seen to date, however I'll give Django the edge for now because the story felt a bit more coherent than IB.
