Dune: Part Two

This movie represents modern sci fi in cinema and how to tell a story this is not only compelling but refreshing, interesting with some of the best visuals and sense of scale on the big screen i think I’ve ever seen! It is quite the epic and I cannot put to words just how amazing the film is, I am truly amazed and astounded by every little spec of detail and the depth that Denis brings is a great achievement in filmmaking! I think the palette and texture, colour of this film is nothing short of excellent! From the opening scene to the infored black & white scene it all evokes a lot out of you as a viewer, it makes you step back and appreciate everything your witnessing but also your seeing visual storytelling at its best! Performances speak for themselves really! Timothee has moments that a truly great to see but I’d say about the final act is where he steps it up a gear and he has this insane monologue which I already wanna go back to, Rebecca Ferguson is great! She’s sneaky and snakey and just not generic which I thought was superb and then there’s Austin butler whos not only great but actually quite terrifying as a character. If this was made by a lesser filmmaker I think you’d be seeing something completely different on your hands as the film is nothing new in a sense that it has the by numbers hero’s journey and the dynamics you’ve seen other ips do but I just think the whole film itself is so breathtakingly bold that it’s far from style over substance and Denis and everyone involved has showcased something new to this genre on a huge scale. Overall it’s gonna go down as one of the greats! It’s this decades lord of the rings. Everything is so well thought out, detail and depth is world class It’s a pure cinematic experience at the highest level Hans zimmer as well my word!! Bravo bravo bravo
