Interstellar
Happy 1 year to me on Letterboxd! The best and easiest to use site on the internet, and I will die on that hill. I still remember scrolling my life away on TikTok one year ago and coming across an advertisement of Letterboxd. I’ve always adored movies since young, but I had never heard of an online way to record and log your film journey. So you can imagine my glee and excitement when I came across Letterboxd.
I guess it’s customary to rewatch the first movie you logged on here one year later as some sort of milestone, soo here’s mine. Interstellar. What a movie. Originally, I actually wrote a long review on this movie as my first review, but I got really embarrassed at the thought of people reading my reviews and nit-picking on it. Maybe one day I’ll fish it out of the depths in my Notes app and finally post it here with confidence. It’s almost crazy how fast a year moves. I can still live in those nights binge watching movies i found literally anywhere to build up my account/profile.
Couldn’t have watched Interstellar and started my Letterboxd account without the recommendation of this movie from my best friend!! Thank you @whatintheword for opening up the doors to the world of film for me! (Yeah, I can’t believe I watched this movie when I was younger… nor even heard of it)
No, I’m not a good writer nor film critic, but I do enjoy watching a good movie.

Interstellar has a special place in my heart. A sci-fi/family/coming-of-age movie all in one. Wrapped up with love like a warm burrito on a rainy night. Matthew McConaughey’s performance always blows me away, and the rest of the cast in general. Beautiful, amazing, just so damn good. Don’t even get me started on Hans Zimmer’s score. That man deserves a fat kiss for enchanting every movie his works are on. I swear, every movie with his scores boosts it with an immediate +2stars. With Interstellar here, the ratings are already off the charts by that. A feel-good, heartwarming, family movie, and everything in between, touching many concepts yet still good pacing. I promise a proper review for Interstellar one day I swearr. It seriously deserves its praise.
