Blade Runner

Blade Runner is a film which asks not just what it means to be human, but what it means to be alive.  Is it love, and the connections with others that give us life? Well those connections must end, one way or another.  Maybe it’s memories? Does the memory of a life make us human? No, memories fade too, like tear in rain.  Well then it must be death. Yes, death. Mortality binds us all. It is what we all have in common, and the ultimate indicator of what it means to be alive. For life gives us death, and death gives us life.
