Waves
i could genuinely cry thinking about how much i love this film. watching it for the second time somehow made me feel even more and notice so many little things i missed the first time, like the ratio changing constantly. first of all, the music is some of the best i’ve ever heard in a film. the acting is phenomenal and every single character feels so real, so flawed and so human. everything about this movie feels incredibly raw. i especially love the scenes where emily is sitting in the bathtub because they feel so quiet and vulnerable. they say so much without anyone even speaking. i could talk forever about the lighting because wow. every frame feels so emotional. i really love the scene with the sprinklers because it is so beautiful and the way they use reflection and warmth with the light is insaneeeee. it’s honestly some of the most beautiful cinematography i’ve ever seen. i watched this with my dad and he said the film is really about forgiveness and acceptance, and the more i think about it the more i think he’s right. taylor russell, the woman that you are. i don’t even have the words. she is unbelievable. i was crying through the film for like what every minute because this film makes me feel more than any other movie ever has, and i think that’s exactly why i love it so much. i could watch this over and over again and never get bored. my favorite movie ever ever eveeeeerrr.
