This is the second stage play I’ve seen, but man did it set the bar. What a sick adaptation. Every scene was so cool to see how they did it. They truly took an absolute masterpiece and adapted it on stage as another masterpiece. I can’t even imagine the thought process and work it took to make this work, but man was it worth it.

Seeing this again, really hits home just how much thought and creativity went into every decision. There’s no sequence in the movie that they aren’t willing to at least try to replicate on stage.  It’s really impressive. The creative ways they pull off something that can only be capable in an animation. And it uses so much of the amazing music and ideas to make a truly beautiful theater piece.  I really hope they do a pro shot like this of Totoro.

Eu preciso conhecer mais o teatro.O teatro precisa ser mais acessível.O teatro através do cinema é uma alternativa muito boa pra conhecer tantas obras que me interessam, mas não posso ver de perto.

A maneira japonesa de produzir arte é incrível mesmo, cada segundo dessa peça mistura nostalgia e emoção. História perfeita em qualquer mídia. 🎭🐉
