Whenever I think of my childhood or really old memories in my life I think of them as stills and quiet fragmentations. I get nostalgic for them but very rarely is it united and cohesive. It's like a photo my brain held onto from a sector of my past. Never would I have thought I would watch a movie that captured that so perfectly, and not only that, but made me feel that way about a human condition so alien to my own. This movie uses a collage of fragmented images and photos from Japan in what im assuming is the late 90s early 2000s based on the release date of the project. I've never felt so nostalgic for something I just wanted to grasp it and hold it. Really moving, Kinda felt like if Wong Kar Wai and Brakhage had a baby
