“When you record the moment, you record the death of the moment.”

*Great little short included on the Videodrome Criterion Blu ray. Not too much to add, just an interesting exploration of the intrinsic relation between filmmaking and the passage of time, tragically analyzed through the eyes of death.
Using Videodrome’s Les Carlson, reminiscing about his old age, the short reflects on how both he and the titular camera are ghosts, passing through time as existence fades away.
Beautifully tragic, yet cinematically marvelous, enlightening the importance of film in such a simple manner.
