I wasn't sure what to expect from Dead Talents Society, but what I ended up with was a charming and fun horror-comedy with a great message: you don't have to prove yourself to others and strive to live up to their expectations; it's enough to be true to yourself.

The cast did such a good job; I wasn't the biggest fan of Gingle Wang's performance, but overall the acting was nice. I loved the campy and bright visuals and editing, and I think they worked perfectly with the plot and atmosphere on the whole; I do appreciate a film that doesn't take itself seriously. The pacing felt a bit odd at times, though, and in my opinion the ending was really rushed. I also would've liked to learn more about the other ghosts' backstories, especially Camilla and Kouji's.

All in all, I can see why Dead Talents Society has great ratings, and I'd recommend giving it a watch.

What a fun and charming concept that this film had, humor and visual set pieces were very creative but what actually won me over was the surprisingly heartfelt & emotional message and execution of the movie! Like from the initial set-up I really thought that we were gonna just watch the traditional route of the 'loser insecure' main character progressively rise up and be more competent in the scare scene but the script flips it around and becomes subversive as it embraces the flaws of the lead which was endearing. I've always disliked the notion that for us to live a fulfilling life—one must build a legacy so I felt vindicated watching this, I will say though that it is a tad bit too long for what it is and the humor can come off as a little too whacky & childish for my taste in some parts but at the same time it did made up for a lot of cool visuals with bloody comedic sequences. The ending especially was really heartwarming
