How to make a good A Nightmare on Elm Street film:
- Hire Wes Craven as the sole writer
- Cast Heather Langenkamp as the lead
- Cast John Saxon because he’s John Saxon
Dream Warriors is my favorite sequel in this franchise, which isn’t saying a lot because this franchise sucks, but this is such a fun and iconic film. But why’d they have to dress my wife, Heather Langenkamp, like a 40 year old woman. She’s still stunning though.

Well I'm not sure what to say. I can say this did fail my expectations a bit. Did expect a bit more. Was it all bad? Definitely not. Was it that great as I was told it would be? Absolutely not..
Weak writing once again. The characters seem bland expect for a few. I don't know why Nightmare on Elm Street films lack character development so much. Kristen and Nancy's dynamic feel so forced. Like she barely gets any time alone with her. Most of the supporting character lack a lot of character in them too.
Acting from Heather Langenkamp (Nancy) is utterly terrible. Like I can't with her acting. She shows no emotion whatsoever and just acts like shes in a drama class. And even her character is insufferable. I disliked her in the first film as well.
Now the positive things I have about this is the whole psychiatric hospital vibe. I did like that whole vibe in this a lot, especially since this is in the 80s. Actually I find Dr. Neil Gordon's faith crisis quite interesting. Him being an atheist and finding God was actually really good consept of this film and I just loved that.
