Testy and I like it. It is fun and explorative to take on ideology like this in such a head on manner. It has something poetic to say even if it is in a brutalist barbaric way of thought to do so. Its harrowing music and gothic visuals lull you into pondering. It uses this “blasphemous” shield to truck over your prejudices and to shine a light right in your eyeball revealing a conversation within your own mind, as a film should. It uses this box to let you wander around and ponder with these thoughts, sure it crosses a pedestrian line but I think all art should it some way. It’s what it’s made for, to burrow in conversation and thought pieces that regular life just can’t absorb sometimes. So we settle for art, and what a life boundary less art can give us. Opinions, thoughts, and feelings fully of our own.
