banned for nearly twenty years for blasphemy, but as someone who adores religious horror and tales of repression, i am utterly enamoured by this... i am not a religious person and, though i respect anyone who is, disagree with organised religion, most significantly for how deeply embedded patriarchal structures and misogyny have become within it. so whilst i understand why a film like this is controversial, i'm also drawn to anything that resists traditional portrayals of women and opens up space to express female sexuality and desire in territory that is usually suppressed. this feels far from nunsploitation, and more a vision of sexual and romantic repression within faith. there is nudity and sensuality, but its handled in a way that feels more ritualistic than exploitative. longing, sacred and soft. a truly beautiful short film

every movie about god should at least be slightly erotic. that being said this was basically soft porn like wow you really had nothing to say in those 18min aside from horny nun. either way i do love me a horny nun performing self stigmata as a form of pleasure so it's okay.

When you’d rather be edgy than interesting or good you get this. Something boring meant for people who want to show how smart they are.
