This movie was amazing but the relationship between Leon and Mathilda felt really off. They could have easily done this as a "daddy-daughter" bond instead of making mathilda "fall in love" with leon. And I mean I get it, young girls often think that they have a crush on an older male figure in their life because they just don't know what love is, but they DO NOT act like this. Everything that she said and did towards Leon felt and was overly sexualised, and it gets worse when the director is accused of being a weirdo(not that surprising tbh).
Well the performances were amazing. Natalie Portman is truly one of my favorite actresses out there, and seeing her perform this well at such a young age is really inspiring in a way.(and she is so beautiful too, wish i looked like her🥲🙏🙌) Loved this movie and I would love to rewatch it sometime soon.
