I enjoyed this honestly. It was a tiny bit slow but i had fun. I love Madelaine as a final girl and can’t wait for chapter 3

The Strangers: Chapter 2 is a true disgrace to the original film. Chapter 1 and even The Strangers Prey at Night at least had the original format, but chapter 2 has terrible performances all around, the horror is awful, the practical effects are sloppy and the main thing about The Strangers being the suspenseful and there is none in this film. The Strangers are not smart another thing that is very odd, i also think this whole Tamara backstory is so weird because it really shows how they had zero ideas in the writing room. This movie has really zero positives except that its so bad it can be watchable at times, and there is probably 1 jumpscare that actually hits. Also it’s said that all 3 of these movies took 4 years to film, wrap it up. The film shouldn’t even have been turned into a franchise and its insane that its even being compared to being better then the original.

see i remember being there for when the trailer for the first film dropped of this trilogy and thinking to myself that it hasn’t even been that long since they dropped strangers prey at night and i’m someone who enjoyed that one a whole lot more than the original that released in the late 2000s and so when i saw the trailer for chapter one i thought that maybe this one will be a fun one like the 2018 verison and so i went into it thinking it was gonna be a good film and let me just say that once i walked out of that theater i was left with nothing but terrible things to say about chapter one because i was expecting a whole lot more than what we were given and so that one was a major flop for me so then we got the trailer for the second chapter and once i saw the trailer for this one i told myself to not go into this one with any kind of hope for it to be a great film and i was completely correct to tell myself that because this one was a complete snooze fest from start to finish like there’s nothing good to even say about this one because that’s how much i absolutely hated this god forsaken film and how much i just wanted it to be over with for me but if someone was to ask me to atleast name one decently good thing about this one i’d have to say the hospital chase sequence that we see at the very beginning of the film between maya and the 3 strangers so there’s that i guess but other than that whole sequence there’s nothing else i found to be enjoyed about this one and here’s the thing that i loved about the original film and prey at night was that very eerie and terrifying atmosphere that those two films pulled you into and having you just absolutely scared for the victims in both of those films because they were being stalked by these 3 unknown masked wearing individuals who were terrorizing them the whole for no apparent reason then them just doing it because they simply can and in this trilogy of films it just didn’t feel like strangers for me because why are you giving me these unnecessary flashbacks of the 3 ‘unknown’ strangers backstories from when they were kids like that just defeats the whole point of them being known as the strangers and it also takes away that very unsettling feeling of not knowing who they are because now we can put a face to each one of them and that just ruined it all for me like i don’t want some fucking backstory about how these 3 came to be known and so for that prey at night will always be the best strangers film for me and i know there is gonna be a third film that releases early next year but seeing how the first and second films already went i’m not even sure if i even want to give that one a watch for myself because i know im gonna fucking despise it as well.
