The Village Next to Paradise
The way this film spoke to me and the emotional impact it had on me I honestly don’t feel like I’ve gotten this from any other film to date that I’ve watched.

One of the first films to show an experience of Somali life in the west and we need more of this expeditiously, although I feel like some of the more nuanced cultural aspects will be lost on people who aren’t Somali, I would still very much recommend this.

The cinematography, the music, the dialogue it all just hits the spot for me like nothing else.

Man I miss my home country, take me back to Somalia.
