In classic Farrier switcheroo, this first glance documentary about a guy who loves clamping cars turns into probably one of the best documentaries on what abusive relationships look like. David Farrier is caught in the storm of a narcissist who gaslights, distorts, overwhelms, controls, and crosses so many boundaries and he doesn't know how to get out. The validation at the end of someone else stating bluntly who Michael is and what he does is so relieving.
This might not get read by David Farrier but if you are out there David please I'm begging you to do a documentary about the guy who made Bluey or somebody wholesome and good. You deserve good things.
