The ode to Poland and the complexities that come with engaging with our WWII history is articulated in such a way it really hits home. Kieran totally deserves all the awards for this, and I would very much so recommend listening to Jessie Eisenberg’s interview on Armchair Expert to learn more about his story behind writing this. Absolutely loved it and a devastating watch.

wow. genuinely one of the best movies i’ve seen the past couple years. the casting is perfect and the writing blew my mind. Dymek’s cinamatography sets everything up beautifully and layering it against mostly Chopin was a great nod
