Bruiser is Miles Warren’s directorial debut, and it is a great one at that. The character dynamics were amazing and while it was dark and dramatic, it had real moments. Idk if I’m a sucker for this type of stuff but this was amazing.

So crazy. But very good. The writing did such a great job of showing how imperfect/messed up both fathers were. There wasn't really space to take sides at all, which was done very well. The visuals were also beautiful, specifically the carnival and motorcycle scenes. Trevante Rhodes blew me away again, his acting abilities are absolutely top-tier. Definitely need to be prepared mentally to watch it, it's a heavy one.

another solid directorial debut. i love the way this was shot. i wouldn’t expect a movie like this to have such great cinematography. 2 solid performances by rhodes and anderson. which tell a nice story. i wish things would’ve unfolded better but i can safely say i didn’t waste my time with this one
