Right off the bat this movie is pretty outdated. But they were working with what they had at the time and you can tell the digital effects would have been stronger if it were made even just a few years later. That being said, it is a very interesting watch. It’s reflective of what people always imagined the future would be with virtual reality. We always knew it would be a thing, we just didn’t know what form it would take. This film takes that idea a step further and asks what if virtual reality could get inside your head and change who you are. It felt like a long episode of outer limits which I really appreciated. It’s also acted pretty well. There aren’t a lot of movies that I would argue should be remade, but I think this one deserves a strong remake.

Simultaneously I want to see good version of this film where it's just a feature length version of all the cool stuff with good CGI AND I'm grateful this film is so bad because it makes it so funny.

This gets pretty crazy towards the end which I enjoyed 😆😁
Whilst the CG is certainly out there it isn't the worst, I've seen people shit on it but I found it pretty charming in all it's strangeness 😂
