While staying at a hotel in England with his grandmother, Helga, a young boy named Luke inadvertently spies on a convention of witches. The Grand High Witch reveals a plan to turn all children into mice via a magical formula. When they discover the eavesdropper, the witches test the formula on him. Now, with the help of Helga and hotel manager Mr Stringer, Luke the mouse must fight back against the witches.

They just don’t make films like this anymore.
I grew up with pet mice and I still kinda want a witch to turn me into a mouse it’d be fun!

I just love that no one in the hotel thought about the reason why the witches became rats, they just accepted it and tried to kill all of them, and I would love to see Bruno’s parents taking him home, it would probably be hilarious
How cute is Luke remembering Bruno in the end, and Luke and Helga’s bond is just so lovely

One of the movies that turned me into a genre fan. I remember hiding behind a pillow peeking through my fingers watching this. This holds up as a fun family horror film. Wicked performances from the witches and is faithful adaptation to the creepiness of the book.
