A pretty big gap comes between Toy Story 2 and 3 with Toy Story 3 being the best of the series for sure. They should’ve kept it a trilogy though. I genuinely don’t even think there’s an argument that this is the best Toy Story. The third installment has the best villain, the saddest scenes, cleanest looking and the best ending though I will admit all the endings are solid. It is by far the darkest though which was always a tad weird to me as a kids movie but it really does work so well. The one thing it does lack a bit in is the jokes, it’s not the funniest Toy Story installment. The story for all of them are about the same, get back home so a docked a point for originality. I would be lying if I told you I wasn’t smiling and tearing up at the end of this film, it’s such a great ending. Both parts where they are going towards the furnace and the last time Andy played with his toys, an absolute masterclass of a way to finish off a trilogy, too bad they couldn’t let a sleeping dog lie. Yes, I will rewatch.
