They fell in the classic trap of making an objectively better film, but in the process making it very dull. They did a pretty “good” job in turning the Peter Pan mythos into some deranged child kidnapper, but that doesn’t mean that the actual film is good.
I have to say that the never land set looked absolutely gross I don’t know how the actors showed up to work. Not really sure what they were trying to do with the trans/queer elements.
