Matt Damon has this goodwill hunting vibe to his acting here, instead of math he plays poker. Other than that it’s well casted. The writing was concise and to the point. Enjoyable movie for most of the time. I really think Ed Norton and Damon should of done a few more movies together. “ rule #1 throw in your cards the moment you can’t win.”

Watched with my dad for father's day. Probably would've enjoyed it more if I knew how to play poker but it was still pretty good. It just didn't make me feel all that much. Nearly zero smiles, cries, laughs. Actually John Malkovich's accent did make me laugh. This was basically 8 Mile for poker, and I was a little tired so maybe that impacted my enjoyment level. It's a fun movie.

I have been very interested in poker movies over the past few weeks and this was one I was excited to watch after I had seen so many different clips around the internet previously. Damon does a great job in this, and Edward Norton makes it unbelievably easy to dislike Worm so props to him for that. I enjoyed the character arc for Mike and think all of the supporting characters were utilized well, pairing that with some super fun poker scenes, and a satisfying ending, this is a movie I would have no trouble going back to.
