Spooktober # 15 No-one does fragile verge of insanity better than Mia Farrow. Really enjoyed this, a slow burn that maybe needed a bit more pacing, but excellently atmospheric 70s West London. Loved the cars, Julia's Citroën DS Safari estate and Mark's Land Rover. Excellent small roles for classic English actors Anna Wing, as an amazingly bespectacled medium, Peter Sallis as a nosey neighbour and a young Nigel Havers as an estate agent. Tom Conti's hair needed its own credit. Superb soundtrack too, I'm a sucker for 70s synth.

There are some films that are so aesthetically stunning that one frame alone can leave you speechless. This is one of those films.

A rewatch may illuminate this film, and my thoughts on it, more but for now the bookending scenes and the ethereal, gorgeous score will play in my mind for some time.

If less than 2 thousand ppl have seen a horror film and it has two completely different titles, it’s probably a banger. One of the hardest synth scores out there
