“You really think you're easy? Compared to what? The Hundred Years' War?”Wow! Movies really have nosedived in terms of lighting, colour and general cinematography because this movie is so insanely good looking and I’m not just talking about Robert Redford. The camerawork is fucking insane; it’s shot like a David Fincher movie but with the colour palette of a later Kurosawa film. The performances are also just spectacular and the chemistry between the leads are unbelievable! The plot is also so well balanced with a great dichotomy in terms of their respective roles; you understand their relationship and motives so vividly - they feel equal in their motivations while both vent deeply flawed. The themes are also very important, even today. It’s handled McCarthyism, idealism, even socialism and social justice while being a beautifully written romantic comedy, just amazing. Fucking loved the soundtrack as well. I’m so glad I have a great girlfriend with insanely good taste in film. Can’t believe this isn’t rated higher!
Overall, Barbara Streisand has a great nose.

*“Are you really so sure of everything you’re so sure of?” “Sure”*
“But they could’ve made it work!!” I scream as they drag me away
