I wish they made this a trilogy, I really do but yeah this is by far one of the worst spider-man movies we got. It’s pretty slow overall which is shocking, the main villains are all pretty mid. The goblin doesn’t even get introduced until there’s like 30 minutes left in the film and spider-man and the goblin only fight for like 5 minutes. Electro was a weird character, his motives were super weak and dumb, his character was just poorly written. The character design was also not great on him, it just looked weird and off putting. The real saving grace of this movie is the ending with the decision to kill off Gwen. That shit was super sad and the real savior of this film. It was a bold choice and I’m glad they do it otherwise this would be so much lower than it already is. The way they did it was also pretty brutal which did shock me a bit. I give the movie its props where it’s due, it’s too bad the movie surrounding it was pretty poor. Will rewatch though.

Andrew is by far the best Spider-Man. His banter, seriousness, and care to help everyone is great. I do love the relationship between Peter and Gwen as well as the internal conflict Peter is battling with keeping Gwen safe. I do feel if you take out Goblin and push Rhino as a bigger hero the movie would be much better as Goblin is my biggest negative. Also don’t hate Peter’s parents’ involvement as I think it helps in the world building aspect.

7.7/10 always have loved Electro wish he was used better. Short review because I’m tired. Without Osborn and all the subplots this damn near a top 3 Spiderman movie. And the ending scene would hit if they just gave us that third Amazing Spider-Man. The highs are just so high here but the lows bring this down a lot. This shit though is something else though such a beauty. Also genuinely such a terrible depiction of Harry Osborn.
