I’m tremendously torn writing this review and over my rating
On one hand, I was begging for this movie to end. It is slow, long, and at times feels as though there is not enough substance to balance out all the creativity.
On the other hand, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a film quite like this one. The POV style and frequent interjections of photos, videos, and history felt so special and unique.
Leaving the theater I know this movie will win some sort of awards because of how well made it is and just how creative the film portrays itself. I just also hated it for making me bored out of my mind for 2 hours until things started clicking. Maybe I’m just dumb and need my hand held, but I just couldn’t fully connect with the story or the emotions that were coming across.
