It’s far more serious than I thought it would be, these people aren’t crazy , they just find fighting scratches an itch. They don’t all do it for the money or the football, they do it cus it makes them feel alive.
Danny Dyer is a solid protagonist, he is a good actor who makes this world feel tangible and realistic. The undertones of racism and a changing London make it seem as if these people absolutely kicking the shit out of each other is a way for them to deal with change. The way that veterans are used to show the ridiculousness of these extreme rights beliefs is also interesting.
