There’s essentially two show pieces in this little exercise in brutality. They’re certainly violent but if you’re looking for a splatterfest or a particularly nasty piece of business, you should know how little of this movie is about that. It is mostly about a horrifically injured man walking around scrubby grassland. There’s some time jumping and fantasy, in addition to some cruel twists, but at the end of the day this is an exceptionally simplistic, low budget film. Acting is fine, cinematography is fine, etc. Just don’t expect it to live up to its Dragged Across Concrete-style title. It’s too earnest to go overboard with the protagonist‘s ordeal and left me bored for long stretches.
