Mother and daughter bicker over everything -- what Anna wears, whom she likes and what she wants to do when she's older. In turn, Anna detests Tess's fiancé. When a magical fortune cookie switches their personalities, they each get a peek at how the other person feels, thinks and lives.

this movie had no right being this good
the acting here is phenomenal, and the jokes and witty humor had me laughing the whole way through
also not everything had to make sense and i love that they leaned into that
there’s definitely some questionable things that don’t hold up as well anymore so im curious to see what they changed for freakier friday, but i did audibly chuckle when lohan blamed “asian voodoo magic”
a cute movie about empathy and family, worth a watch when young and then again when older to really appreciate both sides
