This movie is iconic and underrated! It's '90s cheese at its finest! I loved Andrew Divoff as the Djinn; he's a scene-stealing character that elevates the film and deserves to be iconic! That opening scene was crazy and amazing! The practical effects and gore are amazing and memorable! And the cameos in this movie are also amazing, RIP Tony Todd! It's also just a fun movie, with amazing energy. Despite the cameos, the acting was pretty mid, especially from Tammy Lauren's character. The directing also often has a very awkward feel, and the bad script doesn't do it any favors. The plot is also pretty bad, but in a fun way if you know what I mean. Overall, I totally understand why this is a cult classic, and it definitely has a soul, and I was entertained throughout despite its flaws.
