A toxic relationship drama mixed with an alien invasion story. The movies setting is set in a pretty isolated location with a limited cast which I do quite like given the genre. The relationship between the lovers are interesting to watch and Jessica definitely deserves better. The alien is cool too and I like the minimalist design. It's a small scope story mixed with something bigger in the background a d I think it works well especially when things boil over at the end. It's not a perfect movie but I enjoyed it and it's nice to see aliens instead of vampire etc in 70s British horror.
