I guess they do create a creepy atmosphere sometimes and most of the acting is pretty okay, but this movie is boring as fuck and all the documentary stuff fails on every level (those two are the worst actors of the movie). I don't think it is quite as bad as the third movie, but it's close. The story is really thin and repetitive with there really only being a few things that could possibly be scary, but they spam those few so many times that by the end, it was almost comical. Maybe if the awful, nonsensical lore of the series got you hooked it could be fun, but the links are minimal and it plays out much more like a generic indie "found footage" movie made by a couple of dipshits in a week and a half for a couple of grand than the more polished (but still very clunky) previous films. Easily the worst part is the absolutely terrible make up they do on the dead girl; the face painter at the local carnival could do better.
