My mum showing me this film for the first time was one of the greatest things she ever did for little me. Drop Dead Fred isn't just an absolutely hysterical slapsticky "kids" film, but a great reflection on maturity, social norms, and regret. I can't help but cherish every moment with that ridiculous ginger twat who can and does whatever he pleases to whatever extreme without consequence. Just such a vibe. Recommended.

What having mommy issues can do to a woman, I just saw that woman descend to madness and build herself back with the help of a man dressed in green. I'll be honest, I feel weirdly attracted to Drop dead Fred, he's so weird and disgusting but he was good to her, he protected her muchness as long as he could.
But not everything is me projecting, that scene with Carrie Fisher and the chair, that was funny as fuck. Mickey Bunce has my heart, and that weird imagination dreamy stuff at the end, very Lynchian.
