I think this movie is seriously underrated—doesn’t seem like many people have seen it. Incredible performances and a powerful message. The protagonist has no name; he’s obsessed with ‘making a name’ for himself, having everything but still feeling empty and inferior to others.

it was pretty interesting. the idea to cast two different actors to play the same gangster in the different time periods, but having everyone else reprise their roles is a good choice, showing how idealistically he imagined himself, how big of a role he played, in comparison to who he actually was.
