Felt like a Coen brother movie at the start and I loved how they kept Michael in the town through reasonable story beats. Cage is great in this once again, but I really liked Dennis Hopper in this role. The ending is sort of predictable, but I appreciated the foreshadowing in that cemetery scene.

Meticulously crafted neo-noir thriller about the horrors of lying and how Dennis Hopper will come to reap your soul. Nicolas Cage goes to a bar in the titular town, the bartender thinks he's the hitman he's hired over the phone to come and kill his wife, Cage says "oh uhhhhh yeah that's me" because he needs some money, and all hell breaks loose after that. One of the closest things in existence to truly emulate the feeling of the first time you get to explore the outskirts of Las Venturas in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. If you ramped up the comedy, you'd have a Coen brothers movie. This was awesome and now I need to watch every John Dahl film ever.

This film was straight poo.

The plot was so meh, and the acting didn't help. I thought it was pretty boring all the way through and was lackluster.

All the characters where boring, and some sort of significant twist should have happened.

Not my type of soundtrack either.

Been waiting for this one to come to streaming for a while and I’m so stoked it was worth the wait. Nicolas “neo-noir” Cage stumbles into quite the fun mystery as he is mistaken for a hit man to hire a woman and it all goes to shit.
