I understand what they were going for and I get why this is well-renowned, but this did not land for me at all. Goofy ass SpongeBob transitions, extremely dark themes that almost seem shocking just for the sake of being shocking, and a runtime that drags in the second half really weigh Io Island down for me personally. 

The dumbo brain returns once again, once my farts get stinkier I’ll return and give my profound giga brain thoughts then.
