This was more of an indie drama with freaky moments added in, rather than a straight up horror. I still thought what it had to say about mental health was compelling. It had great performances and visuals as well. The pacing was unexpected for me at first, but I’d compare it to the pacing from Salem’s Lot or a Mike Flanagan series. Overall I’m glad I saw this in theaters because the sound design was excellent. I went alone for the latest showing and there was no one else in the auditorium. So during this one scary part the audio freaked me out and made me feel like I wasn’t alone.
