Bold Eagle sure is Bold. Its exploration of isolation in the gay community as exacerbated by the internet is incredible, leaning into explicitness in order to highlight the desire for a form of human connect conflicting with a desire to escape. The multimedia format that mimics the phone screen furthers this, especially when the barrage of pornographic material fill the screen juxtaposed with initially innocent looking cat videos.
