damon was so WEIRD i just want to shrink him down and carry him in my pocket and keep that frenetic energy with me at all times.

actually kind of brilliant. a really well executed band documentary spliced with regional and national concerns prevalent in the 90s. gives the sense that blur were interested in the places they were going to. and yes, there’s a deep pervasive sadness to it, especially with the (seemingly inadvertent) foreshadowing of graham’s reaction on the night of their winning UK single for country house. but there’s also a humour and camaraderie that permeates so much and really solidifies why this is suchhhh a fucking interesting band to me beyond the music (which i love).
damon went a bit mad. graham’s always been a bit mad. they say i’m mad. and dave’s catatonic anyway.

I love The Great Escape idc if that’s an unpopular opinion!! 4 stars for Top Man mention specifically. Loved the end performance, imagine crowd surfing to Country House. What a time.
Can I get a uhhh remaster of this please Damon Albarn has the most beautiful face on earth it would be nice to see him in higher than 240p quality.

I think I've lost the plot. Why are we talking about swinging?
