This film from Driver is clearly a student work, but an overly ambitious one which pays off in dividends thanks to its sound designand its editing. The two combined make for an unnerving film that captures the body as an extension of mind. The world around us is uncertain and the mind cannot be fully trusted to parse it, so how can we trust that this “world of man” can be trusted, truly in a Platoian fashion

I’ll never forget this film.

This movie feels like walking through a dream you don’t understand but can’t get out of. Everything looks a little wrong, like the world got flipped sideways and nobody noticed. Sara Driver puts you inside Eileen’s mind, and it’s scary, but also kind of beautiful in a sad way. It’s short, but it sticks with you, like a weird memory you’re not sure really happened. I couldn’t stop thinking about it after it ended, it’s the kind of film that leaves a weird, heavy feeling in your chest.
