I love seeing all the hard work and detail that goes into stop-motion, and it was so interesting to see the similarities and differences between the process of animation versus live-action. I have so much respect for every single person that worked on this film, because it's truly a brilliant spectacle.

really great documentary! love seeing how the world was created, the animation techniques, the voice acting, production, etc. was so cool! really good watch as a means to learn about filmmaking or just to further understand the process of the creation of the movie

Absolutely fascinating. Learning about all of the craftsmanship that went into creating Guillermo’s version of Pinocchio was just incredible. His enthusiasm for the stop-motion medium is so apparent and extremely infectious.
I loved getting closer looks at the mix of mechanical puppetry used for Geppetto and others, as well as the 3D-printed pieces made for the title character. Seeing all the work involved just made me appreciate everything even more. There was such dedication by the entire team to making the film feel real, to “animate the ordinary,” and that’s really what sets it apart from anything else I’ve ever seen.
As with all of Guillermo’s projects, I’d gladly watch 1 million hours of behind-the-scenes footage like this!
