I loved the style of it, but everything else just felt so incredibly… hollow.

Arcs either go nowhere, or we just end up in a loop with zero real change. That might be the point? But it really just feels like the message is “be complicit with the system or else you’re a weirdo.”

Burgess is a fun guy to hang around with but the situations where it has potential to be funny are largely either half baked Tim Robinson situations or complete retreads of other films — the band stuff, for example, really isn’t clever or fresh
