Under-developed
The plot itself was trash but I decided to trust it because I've liked similar films with the same plot (e.g When a Stranger Calls 2006). However, this should've followed a more Scream-like approach and had the intruders be someone the characters knew.
The film is supposedly based on the Manson murders which seems interesting but this was executed horribly. There is that one shot where the intruder first appears in the same frame as Kristen and that was marvelous. The film knows how to build suspense but it's anti climatic because what follows is uninteresting. Also at the end when they pretend to reveal the faces to us but then don't?? Pissed me off I had to Google the actors' faces for some peace of mind.
