Every time I revisit it, I find myself wishing Carpenter’s original anthology idea had actually gone through. An ongoing series of different Halloween stories every year? That would’ve been awesome.

The thought of kids all over the country sitting in front of their TVs, excited and innocent, completely unaware of what’s about to happen it’s horrifying. And that ending… wow. Watching Tom Atkins desperately scream for them to shut down the Silver Shamrock broadcast as the ad loops on every channel is pure nightmare fuel. It’s one of the most haunting finales in horror, because deep down you know he probably didn’t stop it. Halloween 3 Season of the Witch is so goooooood. It deserves way more love than it gets.
