Space Truckers
there are some set designs that go crazy here (hyperloop diner, the anonymously fascist android guy’s dick revving like a lawnmower, the square pigs) but i feel like it kinda falls flat everywhere else where it’s caught between total legitimizing of the ironic low budgetedness and heroic macho grit (the music SUCKS, and I love hopper but he really doesn’t work here. And George wendt is so out of place in ways I can’t describe bc on paper you’d be like yeah he makes sense i guess he’d be your guy but not here)

I woulda loved to see this if the writers decided to write a second draft

Some quality space-goofery, with decent special effects, and a good vibe and setting
