At first I was concerned with the inconsistent casting, the younger Mougli and the elder being played by people of two obviously different ethic backgrounds but Jason Scott Lee played the part of Mougli so well it was lovely, hes also just really hot.
Nice and simple, wish it was less action driven however, and focused more on kitty and Mouglis relationship as kitty lacked emotional range and depth while also being poorly written and their relationship would'vebeen an amazing way to deepen her character. Mougli, on the other hand, was written probably the best I've seen in many Jungle Book renditions. His knowledge and identity are not downplayed because of his lack of verbal communication and instead are used to display his understanding of identity. His internal conflict about whether he was human or animal was great to see, human biologically, but animal philosophies, he learns to accept a non-binary role between the two later on.
Great movie, will watch again.
