The horniest film of 1976. King Kong (1976) is the first American remake of the big monkey and this is just alright let me start off with the good. The acting is way better then I expected and most of the effects on King Kong look good for the time and one thing that was way better then I ever expected was the story because it actually has emotions and a really good theme behind it. Even though I loved the story it is not done well in the film because they make it way too long this film should have been somewhere from a hour and 40 minutes to a hour and 50 minutes but no they almost made it 2 hours and 20 minutes and I’m not joking but there is just a few scenes where they repeat the scene that just happened again and you get bored because the story gets to stretch with the run time. My final thoughts on this is that this is a very okay film that has lots of horny scenes

That's the worst thing to ever happen at the World Trade Center.

I watched this for young Jessica Lange and young Jessica Lange only, with my friend. Was met with 9/11 foreshadowing and a really freaky monkey ????

The "lost" King Kong film... Not the original master piece. Not tied to Godzilla. Not from the guy who made Lord of The Rings. Even with leads as hot as this it never had a chance in the greater world of art/pop culture history. Which is interesting since so much of how Kong is treated as an icon stems from this movie and its various ads and half life.
King Kong as an Italian sex pervert film(directed by a brit but still) sounds like the type of thing that would turn this into a cult hit in the 21st century but that doesn't seem like it will be the case.
Kind of a shame but I do get it. It can be slow and it features the least impressive effects of the series. Toho was putting out class films that bodied this 10+ years before it came out. Though the Kong suit itself is really top tier and I loved him. For the crowd who really cares about if something has "aged poorly" this one is probably worse off than the 1933 version.
Overall I think it's worth a watch as the weird 70's hippy Kong at least. Even if you aren't a general fan of the franchise.
