A bit disappointed since I feel like it had some good potential with it portraying struggles of adults through the innocent pov of a child.
Where this movie falls short is in contacting the differing themes and storylines. The dad's struggle with grief, the grandma's aging, and a general appreciation for nature all were seemingly emphasized at points during the movie. However, I felt there was no real attempt in somehow connecting these themes.
Ultimately this caused a somewhat sporadic portrayal of unrelated issues none of which developed far enough for the viewer to fully engage with leading to an ending that doesn't feel impactful.
